Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Contract Guards are guards who work for a commercial security guard company that has a contract with the Federal Government to provide security in a Federal Government building.

To become a DHS Contract Guard you must be 21 years of age or older, have a high school diploma or a G.E.D., no criminal record, be a U.S. Citizen, and have a minimum three (3) years of documented security guard experience (in lieu of security guard experience you can substitute a two (2) year college degree or three (3) years military duty. You must also complete the training specified in the contract and pass a written exam before being tested on the firing range with a Federal Inspector. We do not currently offer these classes to individuals.
